Team History

The Team Started out about 41/2 years ago by 3 guy's with the same interest, DRAG RACING . Tom and Frank Mesa along with Eddie Encina decided to come out into the Guam DragRacing Scene with a New and Powerful Team. Ed and Rob Encina along with Kelly Cruz were"Notorious Racing", which at the time had a strong showing in the Guam DragRacing Scene. Tom and Frank had a Team of their own--

.The two brothers are avid MotorSports Enthusiasts and Import Truck Builders, that hadn't come out Full-Force into the Race Scene at the time, but were known for their Engine Building and wicked Nissans.

The Team also had very important people who did their part to make the Team a success--Too many to mention, but let me mention two names that played a vital role in the Team's immediate success: Kenneth "Kenny G" Cruz and Kelly "Killer" Cruz are the two that Make the BackBone of the RebelloRacing Team. Their skills would be vital assets to any Racing Team. I'm just glad that the Pare' - Pare' system really works on our Island.

Anyway, they all got together and decided that it was time to build a New Team and come out into the Guam Drag Scene and show a Force of Domination! Tom and Ed had just come back from a trip to the Mainland, U.S. and had brought in some Performance Parts from RebelloRacing in California. So the Newly formed Team got together and decided to name the Team --RebelloRacing Team --in support of the SpeedShop dedicated to the Performance of their all so favorite Brand of Import!

Tom, Frank and Ed had common ground to build the RebelloRacing Team on. They all had '90 model Toyota Hiluxes outfitted with the all Powerful Top End Performer , The Nissan Nap-Z24 Motor. To some this Motor may not seem like much to Brag about but for the 3, Masterful Motor Building Technique was all it took to put the skeptics in their places. And put them in their PLACE they did!

Frank had just finished his Hilux Project "KILNTYM" , Ed was just finishing up his Project "IXCELR8" and Tom was almost done with his Project " KILMALL" when the Team decided it was TIME!

The first Truck to come out and Race for the Team was Frank's Project"KILNTYM" it was a Saturday Night when the Truck made it's initial run, and It was against a Team considered , at the Time, one of Guam's Elite Racing Teams.

The truck was constantly picked on through out the nite, and It proved to be one "Not to Fuck with!" The Competition had nothing on The RebelloRacing Team Race after Race "KILNTYM" shut out the Competition! Truck By Truck! Let's just say the Newbie was Jumped that nite but did make all who went up against it Submit!

Ed's "IXCELR8" and Tom's "KILMALL" proved to the Competition that the RebelloRacing Team produces some Powerful Shit! The Team just got better and better! No Room for Defeat!

Auto Jam is the most prestigious Carshow on the Island of Guam! The whole RebelloRacing Team really threw down for this Show! Ed's project "IXCELR8" was the only entry for the Team, he entered the Mini-HotRod Category and had a 2nd place finish.(Even though the Competition had nothing on ED's truck) That was the Official Result. Here on Guam It's really good to do favors for people, because in return they make it worth the while. (-:

At this Show the Team really had a Strong and Dominant showing. We had 4 entries in the Mini-HotRod division and took 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Place finishes! (NOT BAD FOR A DRAG-RACING TEAM AYE!)

at this show Tom's " Rebello's 92" aka "KILMALL" took it's Division Overwhelmingly! The truck had a Dual-Stage Nitrous Oxide System(NOS) set-up and a brand new Mesa's Engineering Roll-Cage in addition to it's already tweeked out RACEWAY READY Look! (The truck just looked fuckin' BADD fuckin' ASS!)

The Team reduced in size before this show, but it still had 3 entries in the shows Mini-HotRod Division. This was the first time "KILLER" broke out the BLUE "1nt Sum" . Strong finishes once again, Tom's "KILMALL" taking 1st Place honors and Frank's "KILNTYM" taking 2nd! Killer had entered the show but in a N/C status(NO Competition, in the Mini-HotRod Category).But he did FREAK OUT the show go-ers during the BURN-OUT Competition in which he did enter, You see, He was shooting Nitrous Oxide (a very valuable comodity here on Guam) out of the Hood through a Fogger type system he made while BURNING OUT his tires!

Ed entered this show Solo, he took 1st Place in the Mini-HotRod division with his awesome 1970 Datsun 510. He brought the car in from Hawaii and at this show everyone had their first Peek at this awesome OLD SCHOOL ROCKET!

ED brings the 510 out whenever there is a CONTRACT RACE. His 510 has been a Force to wreckin' with! This Car Really Kicks-Ass! EVEN a Super-Charged Mustang had a Taste of the 510's Fury! A V8 Mustang! A V8! The 510 fitted with a Nap-Z24 just shot out of the hole and was half way down the strip by the time the V8 hit his 2nd gear! DATSUN-NISSAN POWA!

The Team is still one to watch! Everyone is on Hiatus since our little Island took a Beating from 2 devastating Typhoons! Typhoon Chata'an on July 5th of 2003 followed by Typhoon Ponsongwa on December 8th 2003. Recovery for Our Families is Priority 1 as for the next couple of months. But... in due time the Guam International Raceway will be Opening up their Brand New Drag Strip and you better believe the RebelloRacing Boys will be there and ready to kick - ass once again!
